Apple Restaurant is a Chinese dining spot located in the heart of Bintulu’s Parkcity Commercial Centre. This restaurant brings a straightforward, no-frills atmosphere typical of local Chinese eateries where the focus is on hearty, familiar dishes rather than ambiance or trendy decor. The setting is practical and usually quite lively, especially during mealtime when groups and families fill the space, so booking ahead is wise to avoid waiting.

The menu is thoughtfully organized by protein type and vegetables, offering a wide range from fresh seafood like steam fresh water fish and Teochew styled steamed black pomfret, to distinctive local Chinese specialties such as salted egg yolk bitter gourd and sizzling tofu. The portions tend to be generous, meaning smaller groups should plan their orders carefully to avoid excess. Among the standout items locals tend to return for are the signature apple and onion fried chicken and the curry assam fish, dishes known for balancing familiar flavors with subtle creative twists.

Apple Restaurant also caters well to vegetarians, with a clearly marked vegetarian section and staff willing to accommodate different vegetarian preferences. This makes the place a practical choice for mixed dietary groups, something not always common in Bintulu’s Chinese dining scene. Service is generally prompt, with food arriving hot and fresh, keeping the experience efficient and comfortable for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Because of its location inside a commercial center, the restaurant sees a weekday lunch crowd including office workers, but evenings seem busiest with families and groups enjoying the homely style Chinese cooking. If you’re in the area seeking reliable, reasonably priced Chinese cuisine with variety and generous serves, especially with some local flavors and seafood, Apple is a spot to consider. Expect a lively but unpretentious space where the food takes center stage.

Love the Curry Assam Fish and Apple Sauce Chicken. The Coconut Puding is a must try too. Place is usually packed so booking is a must.

The best restaurant I would say. Love the signature green apple fried chicken. Really blow my mind away. What I can recommend is go for the signature dish. They even have vegetarian menu here. Menu is well design. Sorted by protein type, vegetables, seafood, and price is properly display with no hidden cost. Portion size is huge for a small.plate. so be caution on that. We came in with 2 adult.and 2 children and just order a small plate for every dishes. Still we can't finish it. Staff here know how to recommend. No worry. Must try

The prawns were fresh, but the salt pepper (kiam so) seasoning didn't really reach the prawn flesh. Perhaps you can try their prawns in other recipe (sweet and sour, butter, etc.). The chicken chop was nicely done, but personally I would prefer the Thai sauce to be a little more sweeter - it was quite sour like the umai taste. The brinjal was nicely done. The salted egg yolk bitter gourd, it was slightly different from the one famously known at Boulevard Chinese restaurant in Kuching (if you have tried that). This one was thinner, less hard (perhaps fried with less flour batter), but it surprisingly was still crunchy in it's soft texture. Overall, I find that the dishes here are less sweet (could be a good thing if that means a conscious sugar reduction in the dishes). Price is really reasonable. These dishes totalled to only RM70+ (excluding drinks, rice, snacks, desserts).

Good Chinese restaurant that serves a Delicious variety of Chinese cuisine in Bintulu. The price is still considered affordable for the Bintulu rate. Fast service and the food served hot, just nice to eat with family. Each portion is just enough for 3-5 pax.

Surprised that they serve vegetarian food & have vegetarian menu. Service is good but a bit of waiting time ( reasonable) , they even will ask what type of vegetarians diet. Definitely a place you can go with vegetarian friends or if you are vegetarian and wish to have veg dinner here at Bintulu. Ordered 2 type of veg version dishes for veg person & 1 chicken & 1 prawn. Delicious & portion is good. Veg dishes is value for $$.
